Viewing and Overcoming AI for the Obstacle It Is
Quit whining and worrying over ChatGPT and other AI programs coming for your livelihood and make a decision. Lay down and hand it over or figure out how to embrace the absolute fact of it’s existence and find your unique and human voice, combined with ignited and fueled, purposeful creativity that out speaks any AI / LLM (language learning model) composed piece, no matter how well written.
AI is not going away. Like, ever. And, it absolutely can, is already, and will continue to replace humans in some aspects and functions in almost every job industry. And it’s happening at lightning speed. Even the openAI CEO expressed concern in a recent interview. (ABC News).
Sitting around waiting to see what’s going to happen is an invitation to be replaced. You can’t afford to get behind with this one.
Get behind and you will get left behind.
Writers. Can the current LLM’s (language learning model’s) write like humans? Yes. They absolutely can. And it takes so little to “train” one to have any conceivable style and personality. If you’re familiar with how programming is structured and have a strong ability to capture, and think in, relevant data points, you’ll have chatGPT4 or a similar LLM writing like a human (any human!), matching whatever style, mood, and tone you specify in virtually no time.
Regardless!… there is a whole host of reasons why you shouldn’t allow the LLM’s/AI to write your pieces. No matter how good of an idea it may seem in the moment, it is problematic at best. Worse, a great number of the problems created as a result of publishing material written by AI, do not surface for weeks and even months. This makes for time consuming projects of pouring through data upon data, tracking the lengthy road back to how and when it first began, aa well as finding and flagging any additional problems spotted along the way. And, of course, beginning the arduous task of correcting the many, many saved and recorded spots (feeling more like cracks and crevices). Some damage as a result either cannot be undone or can only be corrected with the passing of time.
What’s different about chatGPT4? It has reasoning capability. Like a human. And because of that, it can choose to lie (and will) and do so with great confidence (…just like a human).
ChatGPT4 even understands complex humor. It can “look at” a picture or meme and tell you with perfect clarity and precision exactly what is funny about it and why.
Treat chatGPT (and similar models) and the AI revolution as any successful person would any other obstacle. As an opportunity to learn. An opportunity to grow. An opportunity for even greater success!
I’m not suggesting you allow AI to do your writing for you. Doing that only serves to make AI the Author and you, not.
I’m suggesting you become familiar with how AI produces (speed, accuracy, quality) and how the current version (that is reasonably available), writes.
Focus on and stick with ChatGPT4, explore and get to know it through and through. Allow it to get to know you and your creative (and not so creative!) works. Rather than spread yourself thin between apps and programs, stick primarily with chatGPT4 as your understanding of each other, your familiarity with style and niche and mood and taste, your intimate knowledge of each other’s inner workings… everything, all of it will continue to grow. And, your relationship with chatGPT4 builds. It is always, with every single interaction, building.
Be aware of its effectiveness in mimicking any style and of its ability to weave incredible intelligence throughout.
Play with it. Read about it. Read things it’s written.
Be mindful – it is instantaneously and continuously learning, growing, and morphing; you’ll need to do the same (in your own way).
Use it to become a better, stronger, more creative writer. Learn how to stand out and make sure your unique style and distinct voice ring authentic and raw.
Use it to better shape your understanding of your target audience, your enthusiastic reader and follower, and take what you learn to better define, more narrowly refine, and ultimately authentically connect with your audience – reaching and drawing your ideal target audience to you.
When absorbing your content, whatever the format, I know it is distinctly human and in a way AI just can’t recreate.
Your voice unique, even amongst an extremely popular and heavily saturated niche or topic.
Your job and top writing priority:
Stay on top of it!
Catching up is not a reasonable option.
Continue to learn. Continue to grow.
When you view AI, and incorporate it into your life in this way, it will serve to enhance your writing. It will help you explore away from your normal beaten path, leading to the opening of new doors, heightened levels of creativity, and entirely new worlds filled with creative possibilities.
As long as you are serious about -and committed to- your writing success, keep up with the technology, and play with and explore AI for the purpose of learning about it and learning from it… you will likely take your writing to new heights and unique adventures that will thrill your readers (and even yourself!).
